Upgrading your free TAPtheCITY listing to a paid plan is one of the fastest ways to get more visibility, more clicks, and more customers. This guide walks you through the exact ListingPro steps — from logging in to paying — so you can upgrade in minutes.
Why upgrade?
Upgrading unlocks features that help your business stand out:
- Basic — $15/month: Featured badge, additional photos, priority in category pages.
- Premium — $25/month: Top placement boosts, more images, priority support, and enhanced analytics.
(Choose the plan that matches your goals — Basic for local visibility, Premium for aggressive growth.)
Before you start — prerequisites
Make sure:
- You have a TAPtheCITY account and are logged in.
- Your listing exists and is approved (you can only upgrade approved/active listings).
- You know which listing you want to upgrade (business name).
- Payment method ready (Stripe is currently supported on the ListingPro setup).

Step-by-Step: Upgrade your listing (ListingPro)

Follow these steps to upgrade from a free listing to Basic or Premium:
1. Log in to TAPtheCITY
Go to https://tapthecity.com/login/ and sign in with your account.
2. Open your Dashboard → Listings
From the dashboard left menu click Listings (or visit https://tapthecity.com/listing-author/?dashboard=listings).
3. Find the listing you want to upgrade
In the Listings list locate your business name (e.g., Juan Love Media).
4. Open the actions menu
Click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu next to your listing to reveal actions.
5. Select Change Plan (or Upgrade)
Click Change Plan (a modal will open showing available plans and durations).
6. Choose plan & billing cycle
- Choose Basic ($15/month) or Premium ($25/month).
- Select Monthly or Annual billing.
7. Apply coupon (if applicable)
If you have a coupon like TAP90NOW (90% off annual), enter it in the Coupon / Promo code field in the checkout modal and click Apply. Verify the discount shows in the order summary before paying.
Tip: If the coupon field is not visible, proceed to checkout and look for the coupon box on the payment page. If TAP90NOW is supposed to auto-apply, confirm whether your ListingPro/WooCommerce settings are configured for auto-apply; otherwise instruct users to enter it manually.
8. Select payment method & complete payment
Select Stripe (or other payment methods if enabled) and complete the checkout form. Click Pay / Checkout.
9. Confirmation & activation
- After successful payment, your listing should upgrade automatically and the new plan features become active.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email with receipt and plan details.
10. Verify the upgrade
Return to Dashboard → Listings and check that your listing now shows the upgraded plan (or check the listing page for premium badges and features).
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Payment failed / Stripe issues?
- Try a different card, or contact your bank. If issue persists, contact us with the payment error details.
I don’t see “Change Plan” option
- Make sure your listing is approved and active. Pending listings typically cannot upgrade until approved.
- If approved and option still missing, contact support — we’ll confirm user role and dashboard permissions.
How long before new features appear?
- Activation is usually immediate. If anything looks missing, refresh the dashboard or log out/in.
